Kelly had already designed the main invitation panel exactly how she wanted it. Luckily enough, I had the font that she had picked. My job: finding an enclosure within her budget to show off her design work and designing the RSVP postcard and map cards.
This metallic GateFold was the perfect way to work the “reveal” into the invitation without the cost of a PocketFold. Kelly will be providing an additional embellishment: a ribbon around the GateFold that will be attached by the seal closure. And I LOVE these lined envelopes, the metallic-on-metallic feels oh so glamorous!
These invitations are a great example of using several budget-conscious options to get an invitation that looks like it costs twice what it did: providing a design for the main panel along with usable artwork and fonts (or flexibility to select a new one); flexibility on the enclosure and size – PocketFolds are not the only way to enclose invitations – and we used an A2 sized invitation here (4.375″ x 5.75″); assembling yourself; and, for those who enjoy crafty projects, providing additional embellishments yourself. If you let me know what you are planning to do, I will be sure to design with your additions in mind, so everything works together in the end. Also, I can always provide coordinating blank papers for projects you want to do yourself.
